In this trip, we will explore not only his birthplace in Khentii province; the eastern Mongolia, but also areas which are unforgettable historical place including the oldest monasteries, rock paintings and a visit Mongolian nomadic herders. Activities: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia and transfer to a hotel. After lunch, your city tour will start with highlights of the city: the Gandan Temple - city's main Buddhist center, the central city square with a grand statue of Genghis Khan and the Zaisan Memorial, an elevated hill on the city's edge providing a panoramic view of UB. The Winter palace of Bogd Khan showcasing rare statues of Buddhist deities and items of personal use of this last theocratic ruler of Mongolia is also worth considering. Of course you will have chance to visit Mongolia’s finest cashmere shop - Gobi Cashmere Factory where you could also visit new Chingis Khan Wax Museum. (Hotel - BLD)
Activities: After early breakfast, your trip will start to the Northeast to reach the Khan Khentii Mountain National Park; a landscape of transition from Siberian Taiga forest to grass steppe and rivers. (Ger Camp - BLD)
Activities: After breakfast, we will explore a fascinating small Lake – Khukh Nuur; where the Khan was entitled as Khan of Mongols in 1189, and listen to brief historical highlights about significant event in the history of Mongolia, and then we will visit the ruins of Bereeven Monastery surrounded by 13 high mountains. Activities: Drive to the historical place; where Chinggis Khan held ceremonies of sacrifice to worship Khukh Tenger or the Blue Sky. The ancient scripts and drawings related to the earlier periods of history are also found on those rocks. (Ger Camp - BLD)
Activities: Today’s spot is the ruins of Uglughch Walls; this area has a number of ancient graves and stone monuments. In the afternoon, try out horse riding and visit nomadic families to discover their way of life, culture and traditions. (Ger Camp - BLD)
Activities: Today’s destination is Deluun Boldog. There is a Birthplace of Chinggis Khan who was selected as the “Man of the Millennium” of the world and was born in 1162 in Dadal soum. (Ger Camp - BLD)
Activities: Your last day at Khuvsgul Lake. Explore the purest lake by kayaking and enjoy the millions of stars in the evening sitting beside the bonfire.
Activities: Today we set off to the Statue of the Chingis Khan, is a 40 meter tall statue of the King on horseback. Visitors walk to the head of the horse through its chest and neck, where they can have a panoramic view. Also in the complex you can visit the museum relating to the Bronze Age and Xiongnu archaeological cultures in Mongolia. After lunch at the complex we will explore Gorkhi – Terelj National Park, the third biggest protected area in Mongolia. Besides its magnificent nature, you can do variety activities such as horse riding and visiting Nomad family. After dinner, you will head back to the city. (Hotel - BLD)
Today we drive back to the city, you may choose an optional tour,
where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before
enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore; after concert we
will have a farewell dinner with the team.
