Delight in the beauty that surrounds you… Mongolia known as a landlocked country remote from the sea is however prominent for its extremely diversified landscape. Mountain ranges, small and bigger lakes and rivers, semi desert Gobi area, forest steppes are all home to many species of birds. In Mongolia we have over 457 different species of birds belonging to 200 genera, 60 families of 19 orders were registered. Despite of the harsh continental climate, 81 species of birds permanently live during 4 seasons, while other migrates. There are many kinds of birds we could see during this tour, such as Dalmatian Pelican, Great white Egret, White Spoonbill, Siberian white Crane, Houbara Bustard, Swan Goose, Mandarin Duck, White tailed Sea Eagle and Great Bustard.
Activities: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia and transfer to a hotel. After Lunch, your city tour will start with highlights of the city: the Gandan Temple - city's main Buddhist center, the central city square with a grand statue of Genghis Khan and the Zaisan Memorial, an elevated hill on the city's edge providing a panoramic view of UB. Of course you will have chance to visit to the bird exhibitions hall at the Natural History Museum. (Hotel - LD)
Activities: After early breakfast, you will take flight to South Gobi province and there we will explore Vulture Valley, which is located in the National Park area, and visit the Gobi Museum, where you will see kinds of vulture and eagle. (Ger Camp - BLD)
Activities: Today is the day to explore Flaming Cliffs. This is a treasure over 70 million years history of ancient Dinosaur’s world of Mongolia and where the chest of is fossilized dinosaur bones and eggs. (Ger camp - BLD)
Activities: Drive to Middle Gobi and Ongi Temple’s Ruins, which were a huge Buddhist Complex of last century. We will walk around the ruins and learn about Mongolian Buddhist History. (Ger camp - BLD)
Activities: We will visit not only fantastic Erdenezuu Monastery, which was first Mongolian Buddhist Center, but also the symbolic ruins of Kharkhorin – the 13 century capital of the Mongol Empire. The way to Erdenezuu Monastery, a big opportunity to watch vultures. (Ger camp - BLD)
Activities: We will discover Ugii Lake, which is famous for its bird watching place in Mongolia. There we will have opportunities to see and spot Swan Geese, White spoonbills, and others. On the way we will visit Turkish Monument Complex. (Ger camp - BLD)
Activities: Two-full watching days in Ugii Lake. We have opportunity to walk to the lakeside and mountain for exploring, taking pictures and enjoying wildlife, flora and fauna of the Lake area. (Ger camp - BLD)
Activities: Drive to National Park; most of the time of the year, Khustai National Park is an excellent place for observing birds as many species are spectacular due to size, parity, numbers and behavior. Notable are the number of large raptors like Black Vultures, Golden Eagles and several species of Falcons. In the evening we will discover watering of wild animals such as Takhi – the Przewalski horse, Red Deer, and Marmots. (Ger camp - BLD)
Activities: Today we set off to the Statue of the Chingis Khan, is a 40 meter tall statue of the King on horseback. Visitors walk to the head of the horse through its chest and neck, where they can have a panoramic view. Also in the complex you can visit the museum relating to the Bronze Age and Xiongnu archaeological cultures in Mongolia. After lunch at the complex we will explore Gorkhi – Terelj National Park, the third biggest protected area in Mongolia. Besides its magnificent nature, you can do variety activities such as horse riding and visiting Nomad family. (Ger camp - BLD)
Activities: After breakfast, we will walk to the Turtle Rock, which is related to majestic story about Mongolian wrestler and hike up to the meditation center in the beautiful natural sightseeing area, which is dedicated to all who want to meditate or learn about Mongolian Buddhism. Activities: Today we drive back to the city, you may choose an optional tour , where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore; after concert we will have a farewell dinner with the team.
